Aleksander Aristovnik is a professor of economics and management in public administration at the Faculty of Administration and of economics at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana. His research interests include economics and management in public administration, macroeconomics and digitisation in the public sector. He has led several national and international research projects, including the programme group “Developing an Efficient and Effective Public Administration System”. Among the successfully completed national projects, “Changes in the management and delivery of public administration services in the era of digitalisation” and “Development of a conceptual framework for user-oriented smart public management” stand out. He is currently leading the flagship project “Developing an AI Readiness Framework for Citizen-centred Public Governance”. His scientific work has been published in reputable international journals, as evidenced by its high international citation rate. Prof. Aristovnik has received several awards for his research achievements, including the Golden Plaque of the University of Ljubljana in 2020.
